Schlotzsky’s started as a small sandwich shop on South Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas over 50 years ago in 1971. The local shop prided itself on fresh ingredients and delicious sandwiches and not much has changed in that regard. Over the next ten years Schlotzsky’s opened 100 stores and there are currently over 300 locations across the United States.
In addition to sandwiches, Schlotzsky’s also offers calzones, salads, and pizzas. Some of their Schlotzsky’s most popular menu items include the Italian Calzone, Avocado Turkey Sandwich, and BBQ Chicken & Jalapeno Pizza.
