Convenience and Reliability
When you open the app for the first time, the app will ask to track your location. Enabling this will give you access to the most accurate menu items and specials at a location that is most convenient to you. You will then be asked to enable push notifications which will notify you on the status of your order and exclusive promotions. You can always change your preferences in your phone and account settings. Next, you will be prompted to create an account. If your phone can use fingerprint as a form of login, you can also enable it here. Once you login or create an account, you will be able to see the full app features. You will also receive a free order of chips and queso upon registering. When you place an order for the first time, you will have the option of paying with a credit or debit card, gift card, or coupon. If you pay with a card, you can save it as a payment method, making subsequent purchases easier. You can use the options on the main page to reorder items and check your rewards progress. The sidebar menu includes options to update your profile, find nutritional information, claim missing rewards points, and view detailed Qdoba policies and settings.

Rewards
Those with a Qdoba account are automatically enrolled into the rewards program. Much like the Taco Bell rewards program that we reviewed, Qdoba awards points on a tier system. Those with 0-3 visits are classified as “Recruits” and earn 10 points per dollar spent. Those with 4-9 visits are classified as “Apprentices” and earn 10 points per dollar spent with 100 bonus points per order. “Pro” level includes those with 10-24 visits. They earn 15 points per dollar spent with 100 bonus points per order. Lastly, “Champs” are those with 25 or more visits. They earn 20 points per dollar spent, 100 bonus points per order, and a Monthly Mystery Box. This Monthly Mystery Perk is usually announced on their Facebookand Twitter. It will also show up in the “Messages” feature in the app which can be accessed by clicking the bell in the top right corner. You can also score 100 bonus points by referring a friend, provided they make a purchase.
So, what can you do with all these points? Here are the rewards associated with specific point values at Qdoba:
- Chocolate Chunk Cookie: 330 Points
- Double Chocolate Brownie: 560 Points
- Chips and Salsa: 650 Points
- Bottled Beverage: 750 Points

Is the Qdoba App Worth It?

The Qdoba app design is simple, but effective. The six selections on the home page significantly decrease any potential clutter and make the app easy on the eyes. The sidebar menu offers expanded options for those with specific needs. Overall, the app design works very well for ordering food and tracking progress in the rewards program.
Qdoba Rewards tier system certainly rewards loyal customers. The mystery box for Champs definitely increases customer retention, as the perks entice customers at the prospect of a discount or bonus rewards points. Obtaining points can be a lengthy process, however. The process is easier for those planning on using their points on side items and desserts, but accumulating 3,000 points is a steep challenge, even for Champs. With that being said, more points are always better than none! The ease of use coupled with a loyalty rewards program and mystery perks make the Qdoba a must-have on your device!
