About Kolache Factory
Kolache Factory is a bakery chain that specializes in making kolaches, a type of pastry that originated in Central Europe and is popular in the United States, especially in Texas. Kolaches are a type of sweet or savory pastry that typically consists of a soft, slightly sweet dough filled with ingredients such as fruit, cheese, meat, or vegetables.
The first Kolache Factory location was opened in Houston, Texas in 1982 by John and Jerri Banks. Since then, the chain has expanded to over 60 locations across the United States, including in Texas, Colorado, Arizona, Indiana, and Georgia.
Kolache Factory offers a variety of kolaches, including traditional flavors like sausage and cheese, fruit-filled kolaches, and unique flavors like jalapeño popper and spinach and feta.
