dine well for $100 a week
By EatDrinkDeals Staff
Jan. 4, 2009
As another sign that 2009 will be the year of cheap eats, happy hours, and
other Eat Drink Deals, for their first edition of 2009, Bon Appetit magazine published a
what they call the Value Edition.
"Everyone is watching their wallet these days,"
writes Editor-in-Chief Barbara Fairchild.
She challenged the Bon Appetit staff to come up
with a week of delicious dinners for four, for under $100 for the week.
They all look great.
The only catch is,
someone has to cook.

Puttin on the Ritz
at McCormick and Schmicks
By EatDrinkDeals Staff
December 31, 2008
Just today we discovered the terrific happy hour deals at McCormick and Schmicks, a high end
seafood chain. Deals vary by location, but in general, happy hour is 4-6:30 pm Mon-Fri, and
9-10 pm Mon-Thurs.
The staff told us the menu varies every day as well, depending on what is fresh.
Often times on Thursdays there is a fresh one-pound lobster for an amazing $10.95. The specials
at the Raleigh, NC restaurant today included $1.95 oyster shooters, $3.95 steamed mussels,
$4.95 steamed shrimp, and $5.75 martinis.
Sorry to say you will not find the happy hour menus on
the McCormick and Schmicks web site. They do have a sample
happy hour menu online, however:

Pay $5, get $25 off at restaurant.com
By EatDrinkDeals Staff
December 26, 2008
Although their better promotion of 80% off has expired,
restaurant.com has a new promotion for 50% off thru Jan. 5. This means you can get
a $25 gift certificate for $5 (normal price being $10). You can wait for a better discount like the 80% off discount that ended Dec. 31, but note that
there is a limited number of coupons for each restaurant. So, if you see what you want, it may be best
to get it with the 50% discount.
To get the 50% off discount, meaning you pay $5 for a $25 gift certificate,
use promo code REWARD. This deal expires Monday, Jan. 5.
